About this deal

Kayden was a grump with a sweet side. He could be swoony and possessive at the same time and melted my heart.

It not only turns out to be a perfect revenge story but also the story where Sienna finally uses her drive to focus on herself. With Julian slowly chipping away at her insecurities about going pro and Kayden’s final push to force her to think about her own decisions, Sienna really turned the story around and got the perfect revenge by investing in herself. She decided to fight for herself, not for Jax or for Kayden but for herself. At the end of the movie, she jots down her name on the entry card for professional mixed martial arts fighters as she considers making a career out of it before she retires and helps Julian with his gym. This book was one of my favourite wattpad books ever and being able to read it as a book and an arc on top of it i feel so freaking proud😭💗 This book was written by someone who might have wanted to talk about important issues but not truly understand or be able to nuances of the issues. For example, when Sienna and Kayden talk to each other, there is a lot of mention of Alzheimer’s, bipolar, and the term “pussy” all being used as an insult, which I found troubling.I feel like the cover doesn't fit the story. It doesn't represent what the story is or fits the mood. This wasn't the worst thing ever, it's honestly a pretty decent Wattpad book. My biggest issue with a lot of books on Wattpad is the cringeyness of the dialogue and the writing style being pretty bad, but this wasn't all that cringey and the writing was okay, but not horrible. Like the author didn't spend half the chapter describing the heroine's outfit for the day and that she's "not like other girls" because she doesn't wear makeup. I think the writing definitely improved from book 1 but for me, there's too much describing at times. Both of them need each other more than they think they do. Kayden wants glory and Sienna needs him to fuel her revenge as well as a place to stay. She makes a deal with him to train him for the biggest fight of his life against her own ex-boyfriend in exchange for living in his apartment. This book was filled with angst and anger and the need for revenge to the brim. Sienna was a contradiction. A beautiful one at that. She knew (most of) the things she was doing, yet she was so compelled by her need for revenge that she handicapped herself, including her relationship with Kayden.

In terms of the characters, there were a few things that I really loved about Sienna. I adored that she was a fighter, literally seeing she was involved in the world of MMA. She was also a smart character, even if she never went to classes. The thing that I loved the most about Sienna was her drive to get shit done and her desire for revenge. However, a major issue I had with the book was that there was so much internal dialogue from Sienna, that it seemed to overwhelm any plot or description that needed to happen to carry the book. Driven with rage and anger she looks for revenge and trains her ex boyfriend’s enemy, Kayden to fight her ex and win the championship while moving in together. I liked the side characters Evans and Brent a lot. Their romance was super cute. Honestly, Evans might be the best character in this and he's only a side character soooThe writing obviously could have been better. It just needed to be more descriptive and less...Wattpad-y???

I don't ever want to forget this. I want to remember you, everything about you. I want to remember what it's like to be with you. It doesn't matter if in five- ten years from now we're just a memory to each other. When I look at your name on my heart, I'll remember that you once had it. And I once had yours." At first, I enjoyed Jax as a villain in this book, then I grew frustrated with him because I felt like he was too shallow and underdeveloped. While I still agree that we as readers could benefit from knowing what drives him other than wanting to have complete control over Sienna, I think his role in the second half of the book kind of changes. He's no longer just there to drive the plot but in the end, he's there to put thoughts in the head of our main characters - Sienna and Kayden. I love the emergence of the New Adult genre and more college-aged romances. The promise of a hate-to-love relationship called to me, and the fact that the narrative was set in the context of a consulted revenge plot and the “and they were roommates” trope seemed to make this book the perfect read. Am primit și o protagonistă super smecheră, înfiptă, cum îmi place mie, iar Sienna a fost de admirat. N-am mai putut de dragul ei și mi-a plăcut teribil că nu se lăsa călcată în picioare după tot ce s-a întâmplat în viața ei, că nu a iertat ușor și că nici n-a închis ochii, din contră, a căutat răzbunarea. Nu pot spune că sunt răzbunătoare din fire, dar câteodată ar merita…I really liked that the dynamics between the two. Kayden was right to hold to his beliefs, forcing the issue of togetherness. They both had a lot of pain to deal with. But she carried a lot of immaturities that made me a little crazy.
