The tip that is already on the device may have become loose when in transit to you so please ensure the tip is securely attached to the device before use. We really appreciate you leaving a review of your experience with us, and are so glad to hear you are also enjoying your Smartbud! The Smartbud is only to be used to remove soft wax and loose debris. If you have hard wax or debris that is lodged in place then do not attempt to remove with the Smartbud and instead please seek medical assistance.This experience has completely put me off buying anything ever again from them which is a shame as my Smartbud is pretty much useless now without any tips. The Smartbud Ear Cleaner has been designed with ease of use as a top priority, no matter how technically-minded you are or are not. However, like all new pieces of technology, it can still take some getting used to. It is advised to try and soften the wax before you begin cleaning as this will make it easier to remove. Failure to soften the wax may result in irritation. Doesn't work even after skin prep was really looking forward to this I've suffered acne since my mid 20s.
