About this deal

Matt: As someone who likes stability (done correctly), the Saucony Hurricane 23 is one of those shoes I just keep reaching for. As a premium stability shoe, the upper is a performance luxury design with a slightly snug, comfortable and secure fit. The midsole and outsole finally balance out with the TPU guidance frame to create a very protective, soft but responsive ride for how much shoe there is. I did not notice the 11.4 oz weight even on long runs and the stability is integrated far better than previous versions. For those wanting a high level of well integrated stability from both traditional and new age methods, a high level of cushioning without sacrificing performance and a performance/luxury upper the Saucony Hurricane 23 may be for you. The upper, of course. It has the familiar lightweight softness of the Kinvara 12, but things are cooler inside due to a partial gusset instead of the K-12’s fully sleeved construction. The fit is still true-to-size. As Saucony waves goodbye to the ISO series of shoes, and with it the Everun midsole, a new dawn has broken bringing with it improvements to FORMFIT and the introduction of PWRRUN+, a midsole foam claiming to be 28% lighter than its predecessor. With that, there are always going to be big hopes pinned on these shoes. The goal is by combing the foam and the carbon fiber you get a ride that really propels you to go the distance with less fatigue.

They know that the big box store can sell the shoe with less in it, while the local running store needs to be the best for dedicated runners. Having run in all the different things, I can 100% tell you it’s worth paying more for the better running shoe than what is at the box store. Saucony Vs Brooks Running Shoe Models If that wasn’t enough, the Saucony Endorphin Edge with its Pwrrun PB midsole and Carbon plate is out too.Unlike many of the other carbon fiber shoes, Brooks says theirs could last up to 400 miles. That’s a pretty significant win for a carbon fiber shoe based on the price we’re all paying! Unlike the Ride and Guide, the Kinvara got its thorough refresh last year. We loved the update, as the Kinvara came closer to the original brief– that of a firm and lightweight trainer with a low heel-to-toe offset.

Dr. Matthew Klein is a 140 lb male with notable PRs of 14:45 for 5k and 2:32:44 for the full marathon. He typically runs 70-100 miles per week and trains at a variety of paces from 8min per mile recovery runs to 4:40 per mile 1k repeats. He prefers firmer and responsive shoes with snug heels and medium to wide toe boxes. He is particular to less cushioned shoes and close to the ground shoes, but can handle a little cushion when he gets beat up. Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21 - The long running stability favorite of many continues to develop it's Guide Rail technology which helps propel runners forward Speed 8.5/10 (The shoe moves well for being a high cushioned stability shoe, still not the fastest out there though)

That’s precisely the reason why it’s on this list. With all brands pushing the boundaries of technical construction and materials, it’s refreshing to find a running shoe with a medial post. So if you’re looking for a comfortable yet supportive trainer for your everyday and high-mileage runs, give the Tempus some consideration. Endorphin Shift 3– This feels like a cushioned slightly stabilizing shoe, good for everyday training. It’s not been my favorite Saucony shoe and I tend to like most of their shoes. While we have never believed in the efficacy of a medial post in slowing pronation, many runners prefer the sensory experience of a medially posted shoe.
