About this deal

Convenience: Does it make the task of sterilising easier and more efficient? Does it take up minimal time? The only downfall is you will need to clean or descale the elements every few weeks, which can be time-consuming. Electric steam sterilisers can also be quite bulky, so if you're pushed for space in your kitchen, this might not be the best option for you. Baby bottles that’ve been sterilised in the UV steriliser may become slightly yellowed in appearance. This is nothing to worry about. The bottles are still safe to use. The steriliser uses UV light which can cause damage to your eyes and skin. Please don’t stare at the light source.

When the storage function is selected, it emits five minutes of UV light and five minutes of drying power every two hours to keep the contents sterile.Once the sterilising cycle is finished, your bottles and other baby accessories will stay sterile for up to 24 hours - whether you leave them in the steriliser or remove straight away. While some people might stop sterilising at six months old, it is advised by the NHS to sterilise for the first year. Can you put wet items in a UV steriliser?

Malcolm says, "Typically, a variety of baby equipment can be safely sterilised in a UV steriliser, including feeding bottles, teats, and soothers (non-latex), tableware, cutlery (non-metallic), breast pumps (not the air tube or electric components), teat tongs, storage lids, storage pots, and nipple shields." In storage mode the steriliser will sterilise and dry the product every 2 hours, until the steriliser is switched off with the power off button. Space: How much room do you have for a steriliser? Can you stretch to a larger one that will sterilise several bottles at once? Or do you need a more compact product? Press this button once for 30 minutes drying, twice for 40 minutes drying and three times for 50 minutes.

Customer reviews

Laura: Knowing that the bottles are sterilised, killing such a high percentage of bacteria, is a big plus and makes me feel confident in using the steriliser. I like the fact that the steriliser beeps when the cycle is complete - alerting you to the fact that the bottles are ready to use, however the 35 minutes seems like a long cycle compared to other options on the market. One thing that I struggled with was to fit all six bottles in at once, I think that if this was improved then I would be more likely to recommend it to others. The beauty of a UV steriliser is that you don't need to worry about descaling or maintenance. However, you should clean it regularly. So, here's how to sterilise baby bottles and feeding equipment. To stop a function at any point, press the button that is in use until the lights are no longer illuminated. Press the on/off button then select the function you wish to use – sterilize only, dry only, auto sterilize and dry or storage function.
