The Jupiter tour includes several flybys of each planet-sized world, culminating with orbit insertion around Ganymede, the largest moon in the Solar System, followed by nine months of operations in its orbit. Note: A full charge takes approximately 3 hours. The charge will last up to 8 hours when connected wirelessly and up to 10 hours when connected through the line-in.
When reviewing this speaker I noticed its very similar design to another outdoor speaker I reviewed a few months ago the JBL Flip 4. ESA’s Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer, Juice, has recorded magnetic field data as its 10.6 m-long magnetometer boom deployed. A suite of specialised and in-depth testing is required for all instruments and component of JUICE depending on form and function. All testing is performed in a cleanroom environment. JUICE was recently detached from its 'Multi-Purpose Trolley', lifted by crane, and moved from its typical positioning within the Friedrichshafen cleanroom to a special stand able to allow modifications and access to the bottom part of the spacecraft – namely, insulation and harnessing around its main engine. The next steps involve attaching multi-layer insulation to the spacecraft. Communications and data transfer: Data will be returned to Earth, and telemetry/communications links created for routine and science operations, via the 2.5-metre High Gain Antenna(HGA, which resembles a satellite dish and is easily visible on the spacecraft’s body) and a steerable medium gain antenna. The latter will enable data to be returned to Earth during flybys of Venus, when the HGA will work as a sunshield to protect Juice’s instruments, and during some manoeuvres at Jupiter. Juice can achieve a downlink transfer rate of more than 2 Gb/day (to ESA ground stations with Deep Space Antennas).
