About this deal

The Fenix E12 V2.0 is powered by a single AA battery. Let’s look at the modes now. In my opinion they are about perfectly spaced. Most of the following measurements were taken directly from the runtime graph below, instead of the manual measurements, simply because I only have old data for some. So they can differ from the measurements in the review. Flashlight (and Link) Anti-Roll Flats: No, but the clip can arrest rolling, if need be. Category 5: Durability & Water Resistance Fenix torches are known for their impressive brightness levels, often ranging from a few hundred to several thousand lumens, providing excellent visibility in various conditions. They often incorporate multiple lighting modes (low, medium, high, strobe, SOS, etc.) in their torches to cater to different situations and conserve battery life.

Unscrew the tail cap half a turn or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation. The runtime test was done with the 50cm integrating sphere, including the Kenko Pro1D ND-16 filter and Extech SDL400 data logging Lux Meter. Unscrew the light head to put in the battery with the anode (+) toward the light head. Align the threads and screw the tai lcap on to test. Usage and Maintenance

Tail Stand: Yes, this light will tail stand. Not the most important feature, but I do appreciate the ability to provide diffuse lighting by standing a light on end and bouncing light off the ceiling. We are the home of Fenix lighting products in the United Kingdom, supplying a network of UK retailers, companies and individual customers from our base in Cardiff. The light does not memorize the previously used output level, each time it is turned on, Low mode will be activated. As you can see, they are the same as a NiMH battery, like the white Eneloop AA used above. Runtime: A low voltage warning function will gradually reduce the output until low is reached if the battery voltage is no longer sufficient to support the current brightness level, and will remain in low until the batteries are completely drained or replaced. The E12 V2.0 has a central beam angle of 12° combined with a spill beam angle of 85°, which offers a soft wide lighting area perfect for comfortable up close work. Equally it is capable of shining up to 68 metres on the highest setting should the distance be required, making the torch a superb companion for tradesmen and general every day use. I am normally not a fan at all of the two-way clips but this one is very slim, and overall quite nice. All output numbers are relative for my home-made Integrating Sphere. It is set up with an Extech SDL400 Lux Meter for measurements including a Kenko PRO1D ND-16 filter. The base measurement is done with a Convoy S2+ that was tested at 255 lumens. Important! Rutime is different from specs due to the fact that the batteries that i used in review are not new and their capacity decreased. The smaller size is partly thanks to an ultra thin 3 mm optical lens, that is 4 mm smaller than the average lens, and features the same anti reflective coating used on car head lights to provide a soft and balanced beam with clear and reliable vision.
