Also immediately after they got married, Things were a mess. They would say one thing but do another and think another. Both of them got confused and then they started confusing ME! The only good thing about this book was that Raven did not stay celibate and mop and wait around for him, and she was with other men, hence her being the other woman in Bittersweet Memories.
The thing that upset me a lot when this book came out was being lied to by the author. In an fb group, someone asked if there was owd and she said no… 😐 What a weak “hero”. 🙄 we are told that he loves the sister so much that the thought of marrying his best friend (her sister) is insane to him. Yet this is the same girl that he can’t stand to go without talking to and has sexy dreams about. Then without much of a fight on his part, they go through with the wedding and then like a week later he is confessing how much he loves her? Gag me. Like when has it always been her exactly ??when you were in love with her sister ? or you and you were having loud sex with her sister WHEN SHE WAS THE NEXT ROOM or when you didn't want to marry her? or when you apologize to her sister for marrying her ? Make ir make sense catharina mauraOverall: This was a freaking mess! It started out alright but I honestly don't know how I finished it! It started going downhill and just kept on snowballing and getting so much worse! Cringey OTT drama and unlikeable characters = a 2 star read.
There were so many annoying people in this book though and I really felt sorry for the h because of the treatment she faced. And let's be honest, as much as Ares loved Raven, she truly did deserve better then him. He is not worthy of her. 😬 Even though I did love them both together. ❤️❤️
OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes the h's sister causes major drama throughout the book and the H is jealous of OM that the h is around Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Raven and Ares' story. They've known each other for years and Raven used to be set up to marry Ares because of an old family agreement and arranged marriage, only it all changed when Ares met Raven's sister and she became his love. Only her sister gets cold feet and calls off the wedding one too many times and Raven is forced to fill in for her. She has been loving Ares while being his little sister's best friend, his close friend, and his fiancé's little sister and she is unsure if she'll survive having to step in for her sister in a marriage to Ares. There is some family drama, some sexy times, and some secrets revealed...and they get a HEA ending. Safety: This one is probably Safe with exception for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences But don’t worry, he supposedly had feelings for the h the whole time 🤡 he just didn’t quite know it 🙄… he’s just so so romantic 🥴 besides, the ow kept cheating on him and he just laid around with her because “He DoEsNt LoVe HeR” 🫢🫢🫢 I was very set on giving this a full five stars because of how much I was enjoying the drama and the angst until about the 70% mark of the book when I started getting frustrated as it was almost too over the top. These situations do not happen in real life and I was taken out of the magic and blatantly reminded that I'm reading a book. The conflict, the plot twists and the reactions of everything felt so scripted.
