About this deal

You can also melt compound chocolates (candy melts) using a water bath in an electric skillet. This is my favorite method to use when I'm hand-painting chocolate bunnies for Easter because my chocolate will stay melted all day allowing me to make dozens or even hundreds of bunnies. Genetically Modified Sugar, Vegetable oils (palm kernels, Hydrogenated palm kernel), Whole MILKpowder, whey powder ( MILK), skimmed MILKpowder, Emulsifier ( SOYAlecithin), Salt, Colours (E171, E129*), Flavour.

Prepare the candy melts. Melt the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl, stopping every 20-30 seconds to stir. Once melted, pour the chocolate into the two separate bowls of the Chex cereal. Mix until combined. Melting chocolate can be a headache for those who are not quite as experienced! But, this is what makes candy melts so easy to use! Because of the oil in the candy melts, they allow the discs to melt instantly and create an incredibly smooth mixture with no fuss! Easy to scale up. I love this recipe because it is easy to scale it up so you can make a lot to give out as gifts to friends or family. Red/Hot Pink Candy Melts: Half of the mix will be pink! I used hot pink because I wanted a really vibrant pink color. Make sure your strawberries are dry! You do not want water in your chocolate! Get a paper towel to dry your strawberries as much as possible before coating.

Add M&Ms. Let the chocolate dry and then combine the two-colored muddy buddies and add Valentine’s colored M&M’s or sprinkles! While you are waiting, be sure to stir your bowl of chocolate, to make sure it doesn't cool too much around the edge.

You can also thin out your melted candy with solid vegetable shortening (2 tablespoons per 12 oz. bag). Do not use liquid vegetable oil, butter, milk, water or any other liquid to thin your candy. These will all cause your candy to break or seize, rendering it unusable. This can also happen if your candy is burned or overheated. Step 6: While the chocolate on the marshmallow pops is drying, melt 15-20 each of different colored candy melts in individual Ziploc bags in the microwave. Microwave them in 20-second intervals, massage the baggies to make sure the candy melt mixture is melting, and then microwave again if needed. The temperature you are melting at may not be high enough. Try reheating the boiling water if you’re using a double boiler. If you’re using the microwave, try to up the microwaves’ power slightly. Today’s chocolate bark came purely from my need to combine sprinkles and candy hearts. The pink swirls are a bonus. All we’re really doing is combining semi-sweet chocolate and white chocolate. We’ll add some pink candy melts to the white chocolate to create that cotton candy pink shade. We’ll swirl it, we’ll top it, we’ll eat it with our sweethearts. Or alone with a bottle of wine… either way, it’s great! Microwave the candy melts on 40% power for 1 minute. Then, slightly roll the bag around to distribute the heat and microwave it again for 30 seconds. Continue the process until all the melts are completely liquefied. Melting Candy Melts – How To Store Wilton Melts And Others After Being MeltedOnce melted, these candy melts will solidify again after a while. And, if immediately placed in the fridge or freezer, this time frame will shorten drastically.
