It has a reasonable wireless range and is very responsive, the mouse works perfectly on the arm of your chair or your thigh when you're wearing jeans. The keyboard works perfectly with both operating systems, right down to the extra buttons such as volume control/mute! One feature did finally stand out for the MS set (which I'll come to later) which separated the two, and that tipped the balance. Quickly access frequently used tools, like the calculator and audio controls by using shortcut keys. I do a reasonable amount of gaming, and was concerned that spanning to select ctrl+F(x) with one hand while blatting Tie Fighters (or whatever) with a joystick in the other, was going to be an issue.

The Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 800 is a keyboard designed for users who prefer the convenience and freedom of a wireless setup.The charging indicator light also has a life of it's own, I'd suggest always having spare, charged batteries at hand and just replacing when it eventually stops working.

From the start I realised that I could not type as fast as with a wired keyboard, and had to be very deliberate with key presses. I just plugged in the very small USB wireless adapter and let my pc (running windows xp service pack 3) find it. The only slight worry was that the very first time I booted into Windows XP with it connected, I had no keyboard or mouse functionality for a few minutes, presumably whilst it detected that I'd changed to this wireless one.PayPal Credit and PayPal Pay in 3 are trading names of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH. The absent Num and Caps lock lights are missed, but these functions show up on my laptop and can be seen from a distance.
