About this deal

So it's funny, having lived through those feelings, and it is also totally precious writing that captures that age. She tries to say that love isn’t for her, but he says she’s not actually like him and she’s just running away because she doesn’t want to face the rejection. But I really think there's a continuum, a spectrum of sexual and romantic feelings, and so his comments feel dismissive.

And to be honest, I think that extra time processing both helped me to enjoy volume 7 more than I would have otherwise. For anyone that's looking for a good romance comic that defies expectations and is relatively chaste, Bloom Into You is a good choice. If that doesn't work, there may be a network issue, and you can use our self test page to see what's preventing the page from loading. From what I understand, it is entirely possible for someone who is aromantic and/or asexual to also love someone, whether that is because romantic and sexual feelings exist on a spectrum, or just because asexual and aromantic people can love, just in their own ways. There’s also that creeptastic thing some men do where they infantilize women and insist on “purity” as a measure of sexual worth which is and, it also has a deeply pedophilic component to it. To be honest, I was quite surprised by how much I liked this volume, and it totally held up on a second reading as well. But the author wrote the scene very well, I believe that this was one of the best scenes of rejection in a yuri manga that I have read. I also love that Hakozaki's somewhat authoritarian personality was consistently portrayed in her younger days too.

This was a fucking emotional rollercoaster that was considerate enough to take breaks so I wouldn't die from the feels, but also punch me in the feels multiple times. It’s the perfect note of hope going into the finale of one of not only the best yuri series, but best manga in general. There's an adorable scene where Hakozaki-sensei is yelling at Miyako for hanging out with one of Hakozaki-sensei's students (it was Sayaka).Adaption, editing and lettering are all top notch, which means you’ll never notice them, but kudos to Jenn Grunigen, Julie Davis and CK Russell and I’m thrilled to see a proofreader, Danielle King. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Fortified by the knowledge that she is choosing to do what she wants to for herself, so she can grow from it, Sayaka finally confesses her feelings to Touko. Similarly, Yuu has a very important conversation with her aromantic buddy, and starts moving towards her emotional conclusion as well. growth/change (0-5): 2 - Touko really shows how much she's changed since the play, actually showing vulnerability around her school mates.

Yuu has always loved shoujo manga and fantasizes about the day that she too will get a love confession that will send her heart a-flutter.

But when the next person to confess to Yuu is the alluring Nanami herself, has Yuu’s shoujo romance finally begun? Usually love triangles like this make me pretty frustrated, because I don't like to see girls suffering from rejection. He's drawing a firm line between his complete lack of ability to feel or want another person and Yuu's experience.

In another part of the flashback, Miyako assumes that Hakozaki was only drunk and wasn't really interested in women and avoids her. I love how determined Sayaka was in confessing her feelings to Touko and didn’t react any differently to Touko after getting a response to her confession. Sayaka just laughs at how cute they are together (in the middle of Hakozaki-sensei berating Miyako) and Hakozaki-sensei gets all flustered. If these characters had not taken this time away from each other, taken this time to reflect and discover, then what I think is going to happen in the final volume would not work.

Ah, so when you mean yes, no, depends, you mean in regards to whether or not yuri has themes of purity? You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. I feel that door was closed for Yuu earlier than this, but the whole sequence is definitely important for her as a character. That's when Yuu sees the beautiful student council president Nanami turn down a suitor with such maturity and finesse that Yuu is inspired to ask her for advice. I think that what made this volume for me was the fact that our characters have taken almost a break from one another.
